Garden Corps Farm Club
Saturdays, 9-noon

Teens meet at the farm every other Saturday to engage in farm-based education and volunteer work, from winter farm work to creating and eating delicious meals together.

Wonderful Worms! Explore the wild world in the soil beneath our feet! Read a book with farm educator Alex and dig in our worm bin.

It’s National Volunteers Week! Jump in and help us get the farm ready for spring! Many hands make the work light! Refreshments to follow.  


Red Bird Rhubarb Rally

Order the rhubarb dessert, artfully crafted with our organically-grown rhubarb, anytime during the month of May and proceeds benefit the farm.

Botanical Drawing with Erica Beade
Learn to capture the beauty of flower and plant forms in your drawings. We’ll take a close look at some of Waltham Fields Community Farm’s botanical wonders using pencil and paper, and explore drawing techniques such as contour, gesture, foreshortening, and shading. All skill levels welcome.

Last Wednesday Evening Picnics on the Farm:
June-September, 5-7pm
Join us the last Wednesday of the month, June - October, for a picnic dinner on the farm, 5-7pm. Bring your own food and blanket and enjoy a variety of musical entertainment with friends of the farm! Free and open to the public. Rain cancels.

Join us for a walk around the Lyman Estate, including farmland leased by WFCF, with author and foraging expert Russ Cohen.

Yoga on the Farm
Join Farmer & Yoga Instructor Anna Kelchlin for an hour-long Iyengar-based yoga class. Geared towards beginners, this class will focus on correct alignment and will incorporate various families of poses, to engage all ranges of motion. This class is open to people of all ability levels.  Bring your own mat and towel!

Ride for Food
Join the Waltham Fields bike team and raise money to support our food access work! Riders choose from a 10, 25, or 50 or mile ride.

Farm Visit Field Trips, birthday parties, Little Sprouts and afterschool programs, there’s still lots of learning and work for your young farmer!

1-4pm, FREE
Activities, games, demos for all ages, and the famous Pick-Your-Own carrot patch!  Join us to celebrate local agriculture on your community farm. Live music by Royer’s One Man Band and free shuttle service on the Tic Tock Trolley from Waltham Center.
