Mimi Arnstein (1999 farm apprentice) manages a 130-family CSA, growing organic vegetables on 5 acres at Wellspring Farm [http://www.wellspringcsa.com/index.html] in Marshfield, Vermont. 

Jenny Wooster (2001 farm manager) founded Picadilly Farm [ ]http://www.picadillyfarm.com/] in Winchester, NH in 2006 with her husband Bruce and daughter Beckley.  They now grow organic vegetables for 400 shareholders on 25 acres and partner with many farms, including WFCF, to offer shares throughout the Boston area, and are expecting their second farm baby in July! 

Derek Christianson (2002 farmhand; 2003 Assistant Manager and Associate Director) founded and manages Brix Bounty Farm [http://www.brixbounty.com/] in Dartmouth, MA.  Brix Bounty grows organic produce for farmers’ markets, a CSA, and an on-farm produce stand while promoting community education and food security.

John Mitchell (2002-2003 farm manager) founded and manages Heirloom Harvest CSA in Westborough, MA [http://www.heirloomharvestcsa.com/index.php].  Heirloom Harvest offers organically grown produce to CSA shareholders in Westborough, Plainville, Uxbridge and surrounding towns.

Jonathan Kirschner (2003 farmhand) founded and manages Stone Wall Vegetables [http://www.stonewallvegetables.com/], a 3-acre farm growing produce using organic methods for CSA and farmers’ markets, in Cornwall Bridge, CT. 

Meryl LaTronica (2004 & 2006 assistant grower) is the founding manager at Powisset Farm [http://www.thetrustees.org/places-to-visit/greater-boston/powisset-farm.html] in Dover, MA.  Powisset grows organic produce for 250 CSA shareholders and supports a variety of education programs through its parent organization, the Trustees of Reservations.  Meryl is also a WFCF board member.

Ryan Maher (2004 Assistant Grower)

Matthew Kochka (2005 assistant grower) manages the urban farm at Re-Vision House in Dorchester, MA [http://www.vpi.org/Re-VisionFarm/index.html].  Matthew was recognized as a Social Innovator by the Social Innovation Forum in 2008.

Ellen Gray Wasson (2005 assistant grower, 2007-2008 board member) is enjoying life as a mother in Littleton, MA. 

Trina Smith Collins (2005 assistant grower) works for the Farm Service Agency in Franklin County, ME.  She and her husband Justin are expecting their first child in June 2010. 

Nathan Frigard (2006 Assistant Grower) manages Maggie’s Farm at the Farm School in Athol, MA http://www.thefarmschool.org , and is is a teacher in the Farm School’s Practical Farm Training Program.  Maggie’s grows vegetables for CSA and farmers’ markets while educating adults in the skills necessary to manage a sustainable farm. 

Jennifer Smith (2006 Assistant Grower) is a Land Conservation Associate with the Mount Grace Land Conservation Trust in Athol, MA http://www.mountgrace.org/

Daniel MacPhee (2006 Farm Intern) is now the Farm Manager and Educator at the Yale Sustainable Food Project in New Haven, CT http://www.yale.edu/sustainablefood/index.html

Kathleen Jones (2006 Farm Intern) teaches English and coaches running and off-piste skiing at the Colorado Rocky Mountain School in Carbondale, CO.  http://www.crms.org/

Charlotte Vallaeys (2006 Farm Intern) is a Farm and Food Policy Analyst for the Cornucopia Institute http://www.cornucopia.org/

Kate Darakjy (2007 Assistant Grower)

Martin Lemos (2007 Assistant Grower) manages the CSA at Green Earth Institute http://www.greenearthinstitute.org/ in Naperville, Illinois.  He was recently named to Mother Nature Network’s list of “40 Farmers Under 40”. 

Anna Wei (2007 Farm Intern) is an assistant grower at Brookwood Community Farm in Milton, MA http://brookwoodcommunityfarm.org/

Josh Levin (2007 Farm Intern) studied international development in northwest India, and graduated from Rice University.  He spent a year working as an English teacher in Brittany, France.  He has recently moved to Somerville, and lookingis to eventually go into urban planning (especially as related to sustainable transportation and food systems).

Vincent Errico (2007 Farm Intern) spent the past three summers working at Red Fire Farm in Granby, MA http://www.redfirefarm.com/index.html

Sara Franklin (2007 Farm Intern) has been deeply engaged in issues of food, agriculture, sustainability and community development since she got her farming start at WFCF. Since her summer farm intership in 2007, he has farmed and gardened in Western Massachusetts, Brooklyn, New York’s Hudson Valley, and various locations in Brazil. She has also worked with various training and advocacy organizations that use agriculture as a tool to address the root causes of hunger, poverty and ill-health, and is currently engaged in a massive food systems reform effort in Newark, NJ. Sara is also an avid cook, eater and budding food writer. She worked as a restaurant critic in Western Massachusetts, has written columns for Fertile Ground USA and CivilEats.com, and is currently working on a book about the food culture and economy of Paraty, Brazil. Whenever she’s not exploring agriculture around the U.S. and internationally, Sara lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.

Jonathan Martinez (2008-2009 Assistant Grower) is the assistant manager and one of the founding farmers at Silverwood Organic Farm in Sherborne, MA.  http://silverwood-farm.com/
