On Wednesday, November 22, the Mayor of Waltham shared a proposed new license agreement for Waltham Fields Community Farm (WFCF) with the City Council as part of the Mayor’s Communications for the next Monday, November 27 City Council Meeting. (11.27 e-docket) This license agreement was reviewed and approved by the Council on Monday November 27!
The one-year license represents a meaningful step forward towards creating a sustainable relationship between the City of Waltham and WFCF. We are appreciative of these revisions from the City, and it is our hope that a license agreement wil be delivered to WFCF for signing soon so that we can re-apply for a building permit ASAP! Our green house materials have been ordered and its time to build!
Our elected officials would be pleased to hear from our supporters and learn of your appreciation.
We remain interested in seeking a date for a meeting with the City in the near future, as previously planned, to continue the dialogue on the long-term vision of the site, and creating a long-term agreement that will allow the property at 240 Beaver Street to flourish for years to come.

Note: As of 1/18/2024 WFCF has not received a license agreement from the City of Waltham. We remain hopeful!
