Visit the farm together with your 1 - 5 year olds for a springtime farm adventure with WFCF Educators! Each session of Little Sprouts includes stories, art, planting activities, guided nature ezplorations, and a few surprises. Occassionally, participants will visit with the fiber producing rabbits, peek into the chicken coop to hunt for eggs, take nature walks with their caregivers and play age-appropriate games designed to engage and inspire learning and fun while connecting with the farm land, the source of thier food, and each other.
Scholarship and Waltham Resident Discounts available upon request. Contact WFCF Director of Education to make a request.
A NOTE TO ALL PARTICIPANTS: During this time of limited access to the Learning Garden area of 240 Beaver Street, the farmers have cleared a space in the farm rows for our community of learners! With the shelter of the pole shed (currently known as the Volunteer Shed) on the west side of the area we farm, participants will grow together this spring directly in the farm soil! No matter where we plant ourselves, WFCF Education Programs continue to offer a variety of experiential, project-based adventures for learners of all ages, exploring agriculture, gardening, nature, culinary arts, sustainable homesteading, foraging, and science-based programs through hands-on experiences.
Please be aware that during this time of uncertainty, program schedules are subject to change. In the event that a program is forced to cancel due to limited access, all registrantants affected by such a closure will be refunded. More information regarding WFCF's Refund Policy can be found ON THIS PAGE (scroll to the bottom).
