Dear Friend of Africano,

All year long, Africano is a place for gathering, learning, sharing and finding community – thanks to so many people, including you. 

As the days start to feel a bit chillier, we are looking ahead to the busy holiday season. Each year, more than 60 children, teens, and young adults walk through the doors of Africano seeking support and counsel. And each holiday season, we do all we can to provide gifts to lift spirits and bring joy for as many of these young folks as possible. We are hoping that you can help us! 

A gift at the holidays “symbolizes thoughtfulness,” makes kids “feel special,” would be “fun and meaningful,” and “opening presents with loved ones” is something kids miss when they are unable to do it. They ask for games, warm clothes, gift cards so they can enjoy the fun of shopping. They work hard in school, help at home, participate in building community at Africano, and look forward to the joy of the holidays. 

Consider adding something extra to your preparations and help to brighten the holidays for our kids. We have compiled a wish list and will be shopping for their individual requests. Gift cards to Walmart, Target, and Amazon are most desired.
