Volunteer & Service Learning 2026

Whether you are a returning volunteer or exploring a first visit, we welcome you! No experience is necessary, just a willingness to pitch in and help us grow food for all, for a strong and healthy community.

We are enormously grateful to the 800+ volunteers who come to work in the farm fields, our learning garden, and at our public events - contributing 2,000+  hours of work annually. Gracias, Mesi, Thank You!

Individual

Waltham Fields has ongoing need for volunteer support Spring through Late Fall. Volunteers can expect to be in the fields and greenhouses planting, weeding, harvesting, and helping with special projects.

We welcome volunteers of all ages! Youth volunteers age 15 and under must be accompanied by an adult, youth under 18 must have a signed parent/guardian waiver.

We welcome volunteers Fridays 9am-noon. This is a drop in volunteer opportunity, no pre registration necessary! For additional volunteer opportunities, including weekend dates, please click the link below and register so our farm team can plan accordingly.

Corporate/Group

We schedule groups up to 16 for morning or afternoon shifts. Volunteers may be planting, weeding, harvesting, or doing special projects depending on the needs of the farm that day/week. No experience is necessary, just a willingness to pitch in and see the satisfying results of your labor!

Most corporate volunteer groups make a financial contribution of $1000-$5,000 while most community groups contribute $200-$400. This financial contribution supports the costs of our volunteer staff, service programming, and food access mission.
