This is a Pre-CSA Newsletter with a handful of announcements as we get ready for the fast approaching summer pick-ups at the farm.
As with previous years, you will have 3 opportunities to pick up your share during the week: Tuesdays from 3-7pm, Thursdays from 3-7pm and Saturdays from 8am - noon. Please make sure to allow enough time to get your share as the farmers will begin packing promptly at the closing time listed for each distribution.
The first week of CSA distributions for the farm will be Tuesday, June 8th; Thursday, June 10th & Saturday, June 12th.
For those of you who are new to the CSA or for any of you wanting a refresher on how the pick-ups and PYO (pick-your-own) work, we encourage you to join us at one of two CSA orientations happening next week. The first will be Thursday, June 3rd from 6 - 7 pm. The second will be held Saturday, June 5th from 10 - 11 am. Please meet at the distribution shelter (wood pole barn located on the west side of the farm near the red shed). The farmers will give you all the information you will need to know for picking up your share this summer, what to do if you are away, picking up with a share partner, etc. We will have ample time for questions and give a brief farm tour to anyone interested. We will begin promptly.
This "Pre-CSA Newsletter" is a good opportunity to make sure we have the proper email for you and your secondary or split share partner. If you are sharing a share, please check with your share partner and make sure that they received this email as well.
If you need to update your email address, send a note to Deb at admin@communityfarms.org. We will be happy to get the correct information into our system. Please check and adjust your spam filters accordingly as most info you will get from us will come via this route.
Please be in touch with us if you have any questions about billing or anything else.
We are looking forward to having everyone back at the farm for another great season! Have a good holiday weekend and we'll see you soon!
Best,
Andy, for the farm staff |
