We offer Learning Garden programs for ages 2-18, throughout the year, from week-long summer programs to multi-session after-school programs after-school toddler programs, our Learning Garden Programs enable hands-on learning about natural ecosystems, crop production and the farm environment, nutrition and food choices, and group cooperation. Children participate in a range of activities such as planting vegetables, exploring the compost pile, observing wildlife, playing games, and cooking. We focus on Farm-to-Table programming, providing opportunities for participants to make and try healthful, farm fresh snacks in the solar kitchen of our outdoor classroom. Learning Garden Registration for 2018 Season
Note: all sessions take place at the farm and are taught by WFCF staff but for several classes, registration is through the Waltham Recreation Department. Classes with registration through the Waltham Recreation Department give preference to Waltham residents.
Scholarships and Fee Assistance
Fee Assistance is available for all programs offered through Waltham Fields Community Farm. Please read through the USDA Income Guidelines. If you are eligible for fee assistance, fill out and send our Scholarship Request Form along with your payment and registration.
Cancellations made three weeks or more in advance of the start date will receive a full refund minus an administrative fee; between two and three weeks in advance will receive a 50% refund. Cancellations made within two weeks of the start date are non-refundable. Waltham Fields Community Farm reserves the right to change/ cancel program dates at our discretion.
