I am pleased to announce that Stacey Daley, who has served since May as our Interim Executive Director, has accepted a permanent position as the Executive Director of Waltham Fields Community Farm. Removing the word "Interim" from Stacey's title may seem like a small adjustment, but it is important. We have had recent transition in the ED role, and our farm is in a state of high alert as we strive to gain more stable access to our fields. We need a leader who will set the tone, tackle the challenges, build relationships, and, when necessary, fight the good fight. Stacey is that leader. Many of you already know Stacey, as she has been connected to our farm for years - she has worked in the fields and in the barn, taught classes, and been a friend and supporter to many people in our organization. When Stacey stepped into the leadership role in May, it was an immediate fit. Stacey's dedication is strong and her commitment to our mission is clear. She rolls up her sleeves and gets to work every day, bolsters and channels the energy of those around her, and approaches both small and grand issues with intelligence and poise. Stacey inspires me and working alongside her is a pleasure.
I invite everyone to congratulate Stacey on the removal of the word "Interim" from her title and to share with her our community's abundant gratitude for her hard work as our Executive Director.
We are in the final pedal push for fundraising for the Ride For Food! 18 DAYS TO GO!

Please consider making a donation to a member of our team and help propel us closer to our fundraising goal!

THANK YOU to Malcolm and his Green Leaf organization! We are especially grateful this month for the generosity and thoughtfulness of Malcolm and his friends who created the Green Leaf organization and went door to door collecting funds to support local sustainable agriculture. Malcolm joined us in the Learning Garden this summer and was inspired to support the farm. In August, Malcolm came back to the farm and presented us with the funds he collected. We are honored to be the recipient of his tremendous initiative. We thank you Malcolm! You are a valued friend of the farm!
